Laniesha Merritt
In 2007, Raleigh entrepreneur and community organizer Laniesha Merritt took her vision and turned it into reality. She combined her love of the music industry, photography and event coordination into a dynamic “One Woman Company” , a planted seed which grew into a garden, in just a few short years. Merritt’s first established business was MyTru Productions, which would later become the backbone of the Own Your Dream non-profit. Any profits made through MyTru Productions were poured into the ever growing list of services, outreaches, programs, and events for the children she serves.
